　　Don't let yourself be persuaded into buying things you don't really want.

　　不要聽信別人的勸說去買你并不真正想要的東西。

　　I persuaded him not to smoke again.＝I persuaded him out of smoking.我說服他不再吸煙了。

　　注意：persuade表示“說服”，強調說服的結果；advise表示“勸說，建議”，對方不一定接受，強調動作。“勸說但不一定有效果”應表述為：advise sb to do sth 或try to persuade sb to do sth。

　　5．graduate  vi. 畢業　 n. 大學畢業生

　　He graduated from Oxford in the class of 1978.

　　ever since從那以后，后接從句或短語，通常與完成時態連用。ever since還可以作副詞單獨使用，在句中作狀語。

　　2．be fond of 喜愛；喜歡

　　3．care about 關心；憂慮；惦念

　　He likes pop；he doesn't care for classic music.

　　他喜歡流行歌曲，不喜歡古典音樂。
