　　meeting 指一般性會議,人們為討論某個問題而集合在一起,使用最廣泛,可以用語各種場合.

　　舉行會議: hold a meeting, have a meeting

　　主持會議: Preside over/chair a meeting

　　conference 專門性的正式會議,常用于就某個重大問題進行專門的研究或交換意見的討論會, 協商會議.

　　1) 并列連詞, “ 然而” 之意.

　　2)從屬連詞, 作 “ 當…… 時候” 解.指一段時間,不能表示一點時間.

　　While I was sleeping, a thief entered my room.

　　3)作 “只要” 講. = as long as

　　take…for example 意思是 “以……為例. 比方說”.常用于闡明一件事的開頭.

　　Take … for 把……當作……, 錯認為是”. 表示結果與事實不付.

　　Take … to be/as 指主觀上 “ 把…… 認作為……”. 不管對

　　類似的短語有: regard … as, look upon … as, think of … as, treat … as等.
